COVID-19 Update

DEAR MEDICAL PROVIDERS AND PATIENTS:

Given the current medical environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic we would like to announce that Boston Sports and Shoulder Center and the Boston Hip Center remain open. Given the current unprecedented circumstances we have taken extra measures to provide streamlined care for patients with hip injuries. Our private, isolated Waltham facility with adjacent integrated surgical center (BOSS - Boston Outpatient Surgical Suites) has the wide scale capability to assess hip injuries and perform surgical repair if required.

We are committed to providing continued access to care for patients in this time of crisis for patients with injuries in and around the hip (for example gluteus medius/minimus tears, hamstring tears, AVN, loose bodies, labral tears).

We can be reached through our office at 781-890-2133 where messages are checked frequently. Additionally, our websites at: bostonssc.com or bostonhipcenter.com are responsive as well. We look forward to working with our medical provider colleagues, ER’s, walk-in/urgent care centers, and directly with injured patients.

Our primary focus is and has always been patient safety. We are following Massachusetts’ DPH and National CDC guidelines and are adjusting our protocols as more recommendations are provided.

As such, we can perform initial and follow-up communication with telemedicine using several different video platforms or simply a phone call to accommodate any patient demographic.

*Please note that COVID-19 precautions and restrictions as well as insurance eligibility or authorization may preclude treatment.
